can…not…wake…up

Oh dear god! I need a nap.

I haven’t been sleeping well AT ALL lately.  I don’t know why.  Well, I suspect that it has to do with hubster being an abnormally loud breather.  But I can’t be that wife, you know…the one who complains about the volume of her spouse’s sleep breathing.

We’re not talking snoring here…just “hehhh hehhhh hehhhhh” BREATHING.

Maybe I will surreptitiously start wearing earplugs…more on this later.

So here I sit, dying to go to bed with the puppy.

Instead, I’ll drag dear old son to the coffee shop. YES!

The best-laid plans of mice and men oft go awry.

It was a no-go on the Masonic Temple today. EVEN THOUGH THE WEBSITE CLEARLY STATES THEY ARE OPEN MONDAYS, there was a discrete sign outside of the door saying thy were closed. (OK, so maybe the website recommends that you call to confirm tour times…details, details.

But since dear old son and I work well under pressure (LOL) we improvised and took a City Hall tour instead.  It rocked.  We even got a tour of the Supreme Court chambers.

The tour was really inspiring.  It was a rare moment shared with visitors appreciating a spectacular building that I walk by every day. I highly recommend the tour to both visitors and residents…maybe even more-so to residents.

Since there was a big gap in our schedule due to different tour starting times, we had a leisurely lunch at Reading Terminal’s Sang Kee Duck House. YUMTACULAR!

We’re going to try the Masonic Temple again tomorrow.  Then maybe we’ll hit the Racquet Club, per our original plans.
